Automatically fulfil digital products in Shopify orders

You can automatically mark digital products as fulfilled in your Shopify orders as long as the products are set up correctly.


What does "fulfilling" mean? In Shopify, fulfilment typically involves adding shipping tracking numbers for physical products. However, with digital products, there’s no shipping required. That’s where Fileflare steps in—our software seamlessly automates the process by marking digital line items as fulfilled in your admin panel. This effortlessly finalises your orders, saving you time and eliminating manual work.


Rules to mark as fulfilled


Marking digital products as fulfilled in your Shopify admin will only take place when:


  • At least one delivery method is enabled in Filefare - email, checkout pages, or customer accounts
  • The Shopify products or variants are marked as digital
  • There must be assets attached to the Shopify product or variant inside Fileflare
  • The order must have the "Paid" payment status
  • If the Fraud feature is enabled, the order must not be detected as fraudulent
  • If the digital product is available at the store location it was ordered from
  • Order must not be assigned to a location created by another Shopify app instead of Fileflare. If delivering from multiple locations, you need to set up a location specifically for digital products. Learn more.
