Beginner's Guide - How to set up the Fileflare app

Please get in touch if you would like help with setting up the app. We are more than happy to do things for you, so you don't have to. We know what it's like to run a business, so outsourcing tasks helps a lot.

Learn how to set up quickly

This guide will show you how to set up Fileflare quickly. It all comes down to 3 fundamental steps - Adding products in Shopify, uploading files & attaching those files to your Shopify products. The app works alongside Shopify's Products and Orders system as an add-on.

Once you have attached the files to your Shopify products, then you are armed to deliver. Once a customer purchase a product on your store, Fileflare will check to see which files are attached to the products in the order and then send them to the customer.

Step 1 - Create your Shopify products in your Shopify admin "Products" page

Go to your Shopify admin.
Go to the "Products" page.
Click the "Add product" button.
Scroll down to the Shipping section, and uncheck the "This is a physical product" checkbox. This will allow Fileflare to automatically fulfil the product on an order, also stop the shipping boxes showing up at checkout, and stop the shipping emails being sent to the customer.

Fileflare supports variants. You can attach files to individual variants.

All of your Shopify products are automatically synced to Fileflare's Products page.

Step 2 - Go to a product page in Fileflare

Once you have created your products in Shopify:
In your Shopify admin, click "Apps" > then click Fileflare
Go to Fileflare's Products page
Click on a product

Step 3 - Upload & attach files to the Shopify product

Press the "Upload new assets" button in the top-right of the product page
Upload your files and click "Done"
Use the search box on the product page to search and select the files
Click "Attach" & you're done!

How does it work?

When a Shopify product that has digital files attached to it has been purchased by a customer, the attached files will be delivered to the customer instantly.
You can also attach files directly to an order to deliver personalised files to individual customers.
