Why are my products not fulfilling in Shopify?
Check the below to ensure your products can be marked as fulfilled
When we refer to "fulfil", it means marking the product as fulfilled in the Shopify orders. The fulfilment process in Shopify is for adding tracking information to the order, which isn't relevant to digital products, so Fileflare will automatically mark digital products as fulfilled, which minimizes the need for you to do it manually.
1. Shopify products and variants must be digital
The product needs to be marked as digital in the Shopify admin.
Go to the product page in Shopify admin
Scroll down to the "Shipping" section
You must uncheck the option "This is a physical product"
If using variants, you will need to click into the variant to see this section.
2. Must have attached assets
The product must have files attached to it in Fileflare, otherwise, the product will not be marked as fulfilled.
Please check to see if there are files attached to the product or variants.
Go to the Products page in Fileflare
Click on a product or variant
Check to see if it has files attached. If it doesn't, then this will be why the product did not fulfil.
If using variants, make sure that you have attached the file to the right variant. Go to the Products page in Fileflare, find the variant and check to see if it has the files attached to it.
3. Must have Paid payment status
The digital products will only be fulfilled if the payment status is "Paid". Check the payment status to make sure the order payment has processed.
4. The Fraud block feature will prevent fulfilling if fraudulent
If you have the Fraud block feature enabled, the app will not fulfil the order if it's flagged up as potential fraud and you have blocked the download links.
5. Digital products must be enabled in all store locations
Make sure digital products in Shopify are available at all locations. If a customer orders is from a location where it is not enabled, Shopify will prevent Fileflare from marking it as fulfilled.
Go to your Shopify admin
Click on "Products"
Click on a product
Scroll down to "Inventory" (if using variants, you need to click into the variant page)
Enable all locations
6. At least one delivery method must be enabled
There are three methods to deliver assets with Fileflare - email, checkout, and customer accounts. You must have at least one of these enabled to be able to mark a product as fulfilled.
Rules:
Fileflare has a fulfilment retry limit of 7 days. Once this time has passed, Fileflare will not attempt to retry fulfilling the products in your Shopify orders.
Fulfilments only take place for products that are digital, not physcial.
Fulfilments only take place for products that have assets to them attached in Fileflare.
