How to automatically fulfil digital products in Shopify orders without delivering files
This guide will show you exactly how to automatically fulfil the product in the shopify order without delivering any files to your customers. This is useful for stores who are selling a subscription product or a digital product that has no files to deliver.
Shopify recently released an update where Shopify apps are not allowed to mark digital items as fulfilled if the order is assigned to a location owned by another Shopify app. They do not provide us with information about which app owns the location for privacy reasons. If you see that there are unexplainable unfulfilled items, this could be why. Please investigate to see if those orders are assigned to a location owned by another Shopify app. More information.
