Set up fraud protection for downloads


If an order is flagged as medium or high risk, you can configure Fileflare to block access to the digital files until you’ve verified the order’s legitimacy. Once confirmed, simply disable the “Restrict Access” setting on the Order page to grant the customer access and then send the download email. Learn more.

Add loading text to the Thank You & Order Status page download buttons


Add loading text to inform your customers that the digital products are loading. Simply go to your Shopify Checkout editor, and then go to the Fileflare app block to enter loading text.



Add a download button to Shopify's order email


It's possible to add the download button for the digital products to Shopify order confirmation email. This helps reduce the number of emails that I sent to customers as the order confirmation email is compulsory with every order. Then you can disable Fileflare's download emails if you want to.

It's possible to enable customer accounts really easily for the legacy and new customer accounts. This is also compatible with all customer account Shopify apps.

Protect your download links from abuse


You can easily protect your download links by adding global limitations or only allowing users to access the Digital Delivery page when they are logged in to their customer account. It helps prevent abuse by malicious customers.

1. Only allow logged in users to access the Digital Delivery page


You can set it so that the customer needs to log in to access the Digital Delivery page. Learn more.

2. Enable global limitations


This only allows a specific number of people to access the links. For example, if you set a limit of 2 IP addresses for the links, then if a third IP addresses accesses it, they will hit a page telling them the limit has been reached. You can customise these messages from the Global limitations settings page.

Set an IP address limit so that only a number of IP addresses can access each link
Set an order expiration time so that the links expire after a set number of days after the order has been placed

Customise the Digital Delivery page


The Digital Delivery page is the location that your customers land on after clicking the download button. This page automatically inherits your Shopify's theme styles, but it's also possible to customise it further.

Enable video streaming/viewing


We recently released a feature that allows you to enable video streaming/viewing for your customers. Once enabled, a play button will automatically appear for all video files. You can enable/disable this button for individual videos from the asset page.

Email tracking


Fileflare provides full email tracking insights when using the Growth plan or higher. This allows you to see how your customers have interacted with your download emails. It helps to understand if your customers are telling the truth and also allows you to understand how your customers are interacting with downloads. You will see data, such as opens, bounces, responses from mail servers if the inbox is full or if the email doesn't exist. You can see the email tracking from the Order page in Fileflare.

If you connect your own email sender to Fileflare, the Fileflare email tracking will not display delivery insights such as opens, bounces, etc. When connecting your own sender, we highly recommend using an SMTP platform like Resend or Brevo to connect your email to Fileflare, this will allow you to see full email tracking insights inside that platform.
