Notice for Legacy Shopify Checkout users

This does not apply to merchants who are using the New Shopify Checkout Extensibility checkouts. If you are using Legacy checkouts, please read this guide.

Fileflare will not be allowed to install ScriptTags on your Legacy checkouts from the 20th January 2025. To enable checkout downloads on or after this date, you must upgrade your Shopify checkouts to the new Checkout Extensibility. Learn how. Existing ScriptTags will continue to work until August 28, 2025 for Plus shops, and until a later date yet to be announced for non-Plus.

Shopify have now deprecated the use of ScriptTags on Legacy checkout pages. Script tags are how apps were able to add content to Legacy checkout pages. This move by Shopify is to get all merchants migrated over to their new checkouts. Learn how to upgrade to the new Checkout Extensibility.

Existing Fileflare Legacy checkout users:

If you have already added the Fileflare checkout downloads on Legacy checkouts before January 20th 2025, then your script tags (checkout downloads) will continue to work for the time being until Shopify stop it. They have it planned to stop all script tags from working on Legacy checkouts later this year.
