Connect your email using SMTP with Postmark

About Postmark SMTP



Postmark have a verification process of between 1-24 hours. This is to ensure that they get the best deliverability. From our experience, it only takes 1-2 hours. SendGrid doesn't have this process if you wanted to get set up faster.

Ease of setup: 5/5 Easy
Postmark does not have a maximum usage limit on how many emails are sent via SMTP. You can send as much as your plan allows.
Postmark's free plan allows up to 100 free emails per day. Maximum of 3000 per month for free. Postmark pricing.
Postmark's first pricing plan starts with sending up to 10,000 emails per month for $15/m.

Sender: Add your email address
Username: Use your API key from Postmark
Password: Use your API key from Postmark
Host server: smtp.postmarkapp.com
Port: 587 (if this doesn't work, try 25 or 2525)
Encryption: TLS

How to get an API key in Postmark



In short terms, all you need to do is ensure you have your domain connected to Postmark, and then create an API key. Then we enter those details into Fileflare, and that's all.

1. Sign up to Postmark if you haven't yet



2. Ensure that you have connected your domain name



Go to "Sender Signatures"
Click the "Add domain or signature" button


Choose whichever one suits you best. You can set up a single email, or a domain. Domain is usually best.

When adding and verifying a whole domain, this means you can use any email address on the domain. For example - type-anything-here@example.com

4. Continue with setting up your email sender or domain until verified

3. Get API Key



Go to your server from the "Servers" page
Go to "API Tokens"
Click the "Create API Key" button
Create your API key


Add SMTP details to Fileflare



Copy the API key from Postmark
Go to Fileflare's SMTP page
Paste the API key into the "Username" and "Password" boxes
Enter the rest of the details as shown below and click "Save"

Sender: Add your email address
Username: Use your API key from Postmark
Password: Use your API key from Postmark
Host server: smtp.postmarkapp.com
Port: 587 (if this doesn't work, try 25 or 2525)
Encryption: TLS

Now, you will receive an email at your store's email address. If you received the email, then it worked. If you didn't, then it didn't work. Please click the verify button in the email to confirm.
